2018 PRICING CHANGES
x
We’ve always done our best keep prices as low as possible while making sure we have the highest quality products available. As you may have noticed, some of our prices went up a bit, but some actually went down too. The price decreases were the result of re-analyzing some of the markups and decreasing the ratio between sizes.
We’re also super happy to report that our wonderful new Sweetgrass supplier has plenty of high grade stock, so thankfully we have no worries about running out again this year. In fact, as our way of expressing our gratitude to them and to our customers, and wishing you all a Happy New Year, we’re lowering the price of Sweetgrass braids to from $10 to $8, and loose Sweetgrass from $55/lb to $50/lb for the entire months of January, February and March!!

CREDIT CARD CHARGES ON DISCOUNTED ORDERS

(The following does not apply to orders placed through our online store) To help us keep our prices low, if your purchase qualifies for discounts or wholesale pricing and you wish to pay by credit card or by Paypal invoice, to help keep pricing fair and overall costs down as much as possible, beginning in January 2018 we will be charging an additional 2% for credit card swipe purchases, and 3% for cards that need to be keyed in. If you pay with cash, debit, cheque or e-transfer, this surcharge will not apply.

GOING METRIC
x
We have converted all our units of measure to metric. Package sizes will remain the same for now. (e.g. 16 oz (1 lb) = 454 g))

SACRED MEDICINES ARE NOT FOR SALE

Traditionally, sacred medicines were always traded, grown or wild harvested. In today’s society, this is not always practical. Turtle Lodge Trading Post (TLTP) is a vehicle for providing medicines for ceremonial use. This business supports us so that we can continue to support you. We are a for-profit business by legal definition because we need to make a living and keep a roof over our heads. But we are deeply committed to the people and involved in a variety of community endeavours, so supporting us means you are also supporting those endeavours.

We steer away from providing any ceremonial information on our website with few exceptions. TLTP does not sell ceremony. We will always encourage you to seek the guidance of an Elder in your own community, if possible. If you have questions we may not have the answers, but in most cases, we will be happy to answer them to the best of our ability or direct you to someone who may be able to help.

NOTE ABOUT OUR WEBSITE PRICING:
x
A note to explain an odd thing about the pricing on our website. Prices are generally based on one unit, most often a pound. Where there is more than one size per unit, the price displayed will show a minus sign in front of the amount to be deducted from the base unit price. For example, 1 pound of White sage is $40. Half a pound shows up as -$16, which is actually $40-16=$24. Once you get to the shopping cart, the value becomes apparent. It’s confusing and a bit frustrating and for that we apologize. Unfortunately it’s part of the programming that can’t be changed without switching to a whole new shopping cart software platform, which just isn’t in the budget for this year, so please bear with us!

MAILING LIST:

x
Not all products make it to our website. Some items, such as Osha Root, are limited in supply and are offered first to regular customers who sign up to our mailing list. Click here to sign up. We rarely send out emails and will never give your email address to a third party.
